The URDU THESAURUS (‘beta’ or ‘testing’ version) launched for the web and smartphones on 16 July 2016 was developed over five years. Through the Urdu Thesaurus website and app, over forty thousand unique words and phrases, and over twenty thousand sets of synonyms can be searched. As a language reference resource, it is a constantly evolving tool. Currently featuring only synonyms, its future versions will have integrated Urdu-to-Urdu lexicons, bilingual dictionaries, and dictionaries of antonyms, idioms and proverbs. اردو تھیسارس کا BETA یا ’آزمائشی‘ ورژن جو ۱۶ جولائی ۲۰۱۶ کو انٹرنیٹ اور موبائل فون کے لیے جاری کیا گیا، پانچ سال کی مدت میں تیار ہوا۔ ویب سائٹ اور ایپ کے ذریعے اُردو تھیسارس کے موجودہ ورژن میں چالیس ہزار سے زائد الفاظ اور بیس ہزار سے زائد مترادفات کے مجموعے ڈھونڈے جاسکتے ہیں۔ اردو زبان اور الفاظ کے ایک ماخذ کے طور پراس کو بہتر بنانے کا عمل مسلسل جاری ہے۔ اپنی موجودہ حالت میں یہ محض مترادفات کے ایک حصے پر مشتمل ہے، لیکن مستقبل میں اُردو اور ذولسانی لغات کے علاوہ، اس میں متضادات، محاورات، اور ضرب الامثال کا اضافہ بھی کیا جائےگا۔
