Our today´s trip takes about two hours and brings us to San Antonio de Areco, a small city in the Province of Buenos Aires, which is 115 km. north of the capital.
San Antonio lies inside the Pampa and has been declared oficially the capital of the Argentine gaucho tradition. Firstly, because S. A. is one of the oldest small cities in the province: it´s first settler, Don José Ruiz de Arellanos occupied this place in 1699 and the oficially foundation took place in 1730. | Translation - Spanish
Nuestra excursión del día, con un viaje de unas dos horas, nos traslada a San Antonio de Areco, una pequeña ciudad en la Provincia de Buenos Aires, ubicada a 115 km hacia el norte de la Capital.
S. A. queda sobre la Pampa y ha sido declarada oficialmente la "Capital de la tradición gauchesca". En primer lugar, porque S. A. es una de las más antiguas pequeñas ciudades de la provincia: su primer colonizador, Don José Ruiz de Arellanos, se asentó en esta lugar en 1699 y la fundación oficial tuvo lugar en 1730.
