Schedule:This session ended at 16:45
Description:

Sometimes I'm not able to do my work alone, and I have to choose outsourcers. I read their CVs and ask them to do a sample translation, but it does not always help. Sometimes a man with perfect CV and well-done sample translation sends me ready translation which seems to be done using Google.Translate. How can I increase my chances to find responsible translators? And what should I do with the translator whose work does not comply with my requirements: should I pay for it or not?

This winning group discussion topic was suggested by the following ProZ.com member: Polina Stroganova

PLEASE NOTE: In an effort to keep chat conversations manageable and enjoyable for all attendees, multiple chat rooms have been created with a maximum of 100 users in each room. If a room is full, simply enter a different room which has not reached the 100 person limit.

That is a very good question, i face same issue every now and then. and it happened that i had an issue earlier this week with an oursourcer who my colleague referred and stated that he is very competent and reliable. unfortunately, that wasn't the case as the work came late and i had to chase him with calls and e-mails. and when the work finally received, it was utterly illogical and not solid. i spend the whole day going over the text and amending very trivial and unreasonable mistakes. very frustrating!

I have ever shared my work with an outsourcer, but I'd be willing to know more about it and see the benefits of co-working.
