Spanish to English translations [PRO]
Tech/Engineering - Engineering (general) / Water supply
Spanish term or phrase: red sectorizada
From a report in Spanish from Spain for translation to British English. Desccribing a recently implemented water supply network configuration:

"Un ejemplo de estas técnicas es el Plan de Sectorización de la red de abastecimiento que se ha llevado a cabo en el periodo ¨[recent years], el cual ha permitido identificar [hundreds] sectores, también llamados DMA [from the English, District Metering Areas or District Metered Areas], que son zonas aisladas hidráulicamente entre sí pero conectadas con las arterias principales mediante un número reducido de puntos de entrada y salida."

Giving:

"ESQUEMA GENÉRICO DE FUNCIONAMIENTO DE UNA RED SECTORIZADA"

I have also seen "clusters" mentioned in English for collections of "sectors" or "districts" in water supply networks.

Many thanks. Not used as commonly in English as Spanish though, sometimes talked around "sub-divided into", etc.
