Russian term or phrase: Главный герой/злодей/предатель
Помогите с переводом этих трёх понятий. Пытаюсь найти такие варианты, которые звучали бы в одном ключе, поскольку это перевод книги. Например, Chief Villain, Chief Traitor. Но тогда как лучше передать "Главный Герой"?

Первая часть описывает мифы, посвященные Главному Герою и его якобы древнему славному прошлому. Вторая посвящена мифам про Главного Злодея, который якобы издревле противостоял Главному Герою, но в конце концов был побежден и изгнан. Ну и в третьей части речь пойдет о мифах про Главного Предателя, «козни» которого якобы привели Главного Героя к тому бедственному положению, в котором он находился в *** году.

Главный герой (персонаж) is usually translated as the protagonist. However, in your context he is obviously a positive character, so you can actually call him The Hero.

The Traitor is a possible option for The Renegade. It depends on what or who the character renounces.
