Bio
After my post-graduation on Translation (with emphasis on German) in 2002, I immediately started working as a freelance translator for several editors, mainly based in Lisbon, and I haven't stopped ever since (always as a part-time freelancer).
Along these 17 years I have been translating a large array of themes destined to different audiences, such as: children's and juvenile literature, recipe books, theatre plays, fitness instructions, court proceedings (including work as an interpreter) and even subtitling for TV channels (I have also done a specific course on that).
However, since almost 9 months now I have been doing translation on the automotive world for a few German brands, and that's by far my favourite theme and where I feel most comfortable with when it comes to choose a specific area. This is because I am a car admirer since I can remember, starting on my early childhood, and I am a passionate collector and reader of automotive literature since my early teenage years.
I have worked with some translation software (lately and mainly Transit) but I have also done some work with Trados and MemoQ. Anyway, I'm always open to learn and widen my experience.
