Bio
I work as an English - Spanish Translator. For the past 5 years, I have been gaining experience in different positions inside the translation and localization industry. I believe that my strong technical experience and education will make me a very competitive candidate, and I find this possibility suitable for my qualifications and profile.

I have extensive experience in the areas of IT, Engineering and Telecommunications, thanks to the continuous collaboration with major clients like Microsoft, Dell, EMC, and Oracle. During a 4-year period as an in-house Translator, Proofreader and Language Coordinator I have been in charge of several translation projects for the above mentioned clients, in which I have translated and reviewed more than 500,000 words over the years.

I master a wide variety of CAT tools, ranging from the most popular in the industry —like the latest versions of SDL Trados, Wordfast, Déjà Vu, SDLX, and MemoQ— to the client-specific ones, like Helium, UNSTools, Translation Workspace, etc. During my years as an in-house Language Coordinator, I have been in charge of training courses on these CAT tools for translators, both in-house and freelancers. I have also provided technical assistance on a daily basis to the freelance resources.

With more than five years of experience, I have extensive understanding of the full life cycle of a translation project, since I alternatively participate in the different stages: from the planning and preparation of a project to the final reviewing before delivery to the client.

You will find a more detailed description of my work, as well as my training and reference information, in my résumé. In case you have any questions or doubts, I’ll be glad to help.
