During my two years working in this industry, I liaised between the tourist clients and the local residents to produce professional diving brochures, guidebooks and websites.


Accountant & Tax Industry - The Netherlands

After my Masters graduation in Tax Law at the Erasmus University Rotterdam, I worked for one of the big four Accountant & Tax firms at their International Tax Services. Due to the international clientele, translating fiscal structures, advice and agreements regarding corporate tax law with the Dutch Tax Authorities was standard procedure.


Sales and Retail Industry - The Netherlands

Owning and managing a 200m2 furniture shop in the middle of Amsterdam for five years found me constantly seeking fresh ways to procure new business. With many expatriates and tourists being a large part of our clientele, the translating of our website, webshop, flyers and correspondences was essential for continued growth.


The key point I have learned in my experiences is the importance for communication between two parties in order to secure a deal. Whether it is teaching a dive course, advising a fiscal structure or selling tables and chairs; communication is the vital factor in succeeding.
