2D&3D SPI (Soldering Paste Inspection) system enables the fully automated visual inspection of printed circuit board assemblies in full 3D.
This system is a self-manufactured SPI manufactured by PEMTRON through thorough inspection after being optimized for various inspection of Solder paste on board through Screen Printer during SMT process.

Our PEMTRON color 3D solder paste inspection (Color 3D SPI) connects 2D colored images with 3D measuring data to provide detailed and accurate 3D color images, making the operation of equipment much easier.
The camera autonomously scans the PCB to test for both catastrophic failure (e.g., No paste) and quality defects (e.g., Insufficient paste, Excessive paste, Shape deformity, bridge 2D & 3D, Paste displacement). It is a non-contact test and measurement system.
Existing 3D image expresses the height as a color map.
Results of the inspection are presented to the operator in real-time for verification and immediate process stability feedback. All results for defective parts are stored in the Production Database for future analysis.
The system is fully expandable through the SMT production lines for complete measurement and process control. A typical comprehensive network is shown below:
The order is placed inline after the selective wave process and is commanded by an internal PC.
The system can measure the solder condition of all the components & joints from the previous processes SPI.
The inspection program enables automatic PCB inspection / verification.
Job loading can be made automatically by reading a barcode label placed from the Screen Printer.
The barcode reader must be compatible with the codes being used, (eg., DataMatrix).
Codes can be read on both sides of the PCB or Pallet during loading when appropriate readers are installed.
For auto rail width adjustment this must be before the board enters the machine.
In production, via a dedicated interface, the machine reports to the operator the results of each PCB where errors were found. Good and faulty PCB status is displayed on the machine screen monitor.
If a PCB is not inspected due to fiducial error, for example, the operator is advised & must remove PCB or Panel from wave carrier and place in “Not conform process flow” zone for analysis. This PCB or Panel can be passed later through the inspection machine in manual or auto mode with appropriate user rights.
If a PCB is faulty on the carrier, a fault report will be displayed on the machine screen and repair station. The operator confirms or not the detected faults on traceability system.
It is possible to program on the machine or from an offline station connected by Ethernet to common file locations.
All production inspection results for all boards are saved in a “Production Database” for record & analysis.
Installation.
Caution:
Avoid impact or pressure to any part of the system or packaging.
Use a Forklift with long enough forks to lift the system.
Always follow your company safety procedures.
Observe care to prevent damage or scratches.
Tools required:
1. Foot adjustment spanner (Provided with machine on delivery).
2. Pallet truck (recommended values for standard machines below):
a. Weight capacity about 1,000~1,200Kg.
b. Minimum fork length 1,200mm.
3. 2 x PCB’s for system alignment to upstream and downstream systems.
4. Standard Tool Kit:
a. Hex keys (Square & Ball ends).

PCB에 부품이 장착되기 전, 보드의 Screen Printer 위치에 정량으로 Solder paste가 인쇄되었는지를 검사하는 2D & 3D SPI (Soldering Paste Inspection)은 자동화 된 SMT 공정과정에 필수인 장비 입니다.
SMT 생산공정의 대부분 불량은 스크린 프린팅 공정에서 발생하며, Soldering이 끝난 제품의 Rework 비용은 생산원가 상승 주요 요인이 됨으로, 특히BGA/CSP/0402 chip 등 Fine pitch 실장부품의 증가와 함께 고밀도화 됨에 따라 안정적인 고품질의 인쇄상태를 유지하는 것이 무엇보다 요구됩니다.
2D Color 영상과 3D 측정 Data를 결합, 정밀하고 정확한 3D Color 영상을 구현하여, Operator에게 편의성을 제공하고 검사 시 정확도를 획기적으로 향상시키는 장점 있습니다.
Color 3D 알고리즘을 적용하여 PCB 바닥면에 얇게 깔려 있는 Bridge를 정확하게 검출할 수 있으며 10~300um까지 Solder 를 검사할 수 있습니다.
분석할 PAD를 선택하여 원하는 단면의 높이로 측정이 가능하며, 실시간 Real color 로 PAD Image 확인이 가능하며 (바닥의 먼지 이물까지 확인 가능), 판별 어려운 미납 등은 Gray 영상 및 회전 분석으로 원하는 영상 추출과 확인이 가능합니다.
Color 3D 알고리즘은 기존 흑백 SPI 검사방식과는 달리 PCB 바닥면의 Hole과 Silk를 정확하게 인식하여 3D 측정 Data의 불 명확성을 제거 할 수 있고, 또한 Solder 영역만을 정확하게 찾아내어 검사함으로써 검사 정밀도 및 신뢰성이 더욱 향상되었습니다.
Linear Motor 탑재로 고속화 된 Pemtron TROI는 정밀도를 최대한 극대화 시킴과 동시에, 소음과 진동은 최소화한, Ball Screw Type대비 내구성의 향상과 경제적인 유지보수비 등 다수의 장점을 가지고 있습니다.
Database, Server와 Client로 통신하며 생산성 및 NG에 대한 실시간 Report(Trend View, Histogram, Cpk 차트, Sigma, Yield, Defect Type)를 추출(또는 시간대별 선택적 추출도 가능)하며, 다양한 출력 Format 을 지원하여(PDF, Word, HTML..) 인터넷 기반으로 공정관리를 동시에 작업할 수 있으며, Multi생산 Line의 생산 현황 (SPI 검사 결과) 및 상황을 동시 Monitoring이 가능합니다.
Trend View 기능을 통해 어떤 Part가 더욱 시각적으로 강조되어야 하는지 결정이 가능하며, PCB의 휨 정도에 상관없이 각각의 PAD 위치 주변에서 Zero Point 를 찾아서 자동으로Warpage를 보상하여 Solder의 높이 측정이 가능합니다.
기존 Mounter Bad Mark 광학 검사시간 최소화하며, Mounter Bad Mark 전송이 가능하며 Bad Mark로 지정된 Pad에 대한 광학 검사 결과 Data를 Mounter로 전송합니다.
설치 주의사항:
시스템 또는 포장의 일부에 충격이나 압력을 가하지 마십시오.
포크 리프트를 사용하여 시스템을 들어 올릴 수있을만큼 충분히 거리를 남겨두고 포크 리프트를 사용하십시오.
항상 회사의 안전 절차를 준수하십시오.
손상이나 긁힘을 방지하기 위해 주의를 기울이십시오.

2. 팔렛 트럭 (표준 장비들에 대한 추천은 하기와 같습니다)

The Defect Code Setting Key, which is useful at the time of inspection(same at the Off Line pc), can set by setting Keys with the yellow buttons like below image. We recommend using up, down, right, left the key in the Confirm window.
* Menu > Setup > DefectCode Set > DefectCode HotKey
Hot keys can be set for each user when logging in to the equipment.
In the Teaching (hot) key setting that appears as follows, select for convenience using the keyboards currently displayed in yellow and press Save to end the setup. | Translation - Korean
기본 장비에서 검사 시, 또는 Off Line pc에서도 유용하게 쓰이는 Defect Code Setting Key는 노란색으로 표시 된 Key들을 설정하여 사용이 가능하며, Confirm윈도우에서는 up, down, right, left key들의 사용을 추천한다.

장비 로그인 시, 각각의 User 별로 Hot Key 설정이 가능하다.
