Source text - English As outlined in its Communication “A Europe that protects: Clean air for all”, the Commission is making wide-ranging policy efforts to support and facilitate the necessary measures of the Member States to meet air quality objectives, and is taking enforcement action to ensure clean air for all Europeans, including against Italy for exceedances of NO 2 and PM 10 limit values (the latter case currently pending before the EU Court of Justice and covering the zone of Venice as well). As regards shipping, a recent Commission report illustrates that SO 2 concentrations have significantly gone down in EU coastal regions as a result of the implementation of the Sulphur Directive.
It prescribes the strictest requirement of 0,1% as the maximum sulphur content in fuels used by ships at berth in Union ports.

Socializing in English from an early age with a bunch of Italo-Australian cousins, I have been aspiring to become a great polyglot-mediator since the character of Daniel Jackson from Stargate SG-1 was conceived. I am an Italian mother tongue with a weird obsession with Slavic languages.
