I'm a Finnish graphic designer, translator, interpreter, trainer and layout/dtp specialist with Swedish as a mother tongue, and more than 15 years of studies and working experience in the fields of media, design, marketing and communication in three different countries. Moreover, I've also got a considerable amount of professional experience in the service sector.

For the moment I'm working as a freelance graphic designer, translator, interpreter, trainer, guide, language consultant and layout/DTP specialist from home. Before that I've been responsible for the Desktop Publishing, sales and marketing departments at multinational companies, where my daily tasks have included e.g. communication, design, DTP and layout, contact with clients and suppliers and translations.

I've been working as a freelance translator between the Nordic languages and occasionally English and/or Spanish. As the matter of fact, in addition to my two native languages (Finnish and Swedish), I also speak fluently English, Norwegian and Spanish, and have a basic level of German and Catalan (level C).

Due to all of these experiences in different parts of Europe I'm well aware of my abilities to handle both individual and teamwork, and work under pressure with a high level of stress and multiple tasks in a multilingual environment.

My software knowledge includes programs like FrameMaker, Interleaf, Photoshop, QuarkXpress, FreeHand, Illustrator, InDesign and Pagemaker, as well as more basic skills in software like Office, Transit, Trados and Adobe Acrobat, and I have most of the above mentioned software installed at home on several MACs and PCs. I’ve also got a considerable amount of experience in working with different languages and fonts, and solving problems due to these.

After living and studying in Norway during 4 years I've now lived in Barcelona for about ten years. My hobbies are mainly related to culture (art and design, music or languages), sports (dancing, fitness and swimming) and different types of media (cinema, books, Internet).

I believe that my international background, language skills and experience in similar and complementary environments could be a resource. Personally I consider myself a positive, enthusiastic and hard-working person, and I enjoy being trusted responsibilities and solving problems.
