How to hide visible tabs in Word Thread poster: Elisabeth Toda-v.Galen

Hi all I've reinstalled Windows and Office recently and I have noticed that in all my DOCX's, I can hide all marks, like spaces and hard returns for instance with ctrl+, but the tab arrow remains visible. Does anyone know how to get rid of this? Tks in advance Elisabeth | | | Darius Sciuka Lithuania Local time: 21:37 English to Lithuanian + ...
Hi Elisabeth, Select File - Options - Display then set your preferences in "Always show these formatting marks on the screen" (in Word 2010, I'm not sure about later versions). Regards, Darius | | | No File - options | Jan 29, 2016 |

You can eliminate a lot of tabs by using 'indent' or a 'hanging indent' whenever possible. That doesn't solve your problem completely, I know, but it will reduce them to a minimum. And, of course, you could upgrade your Word program to a newer version... | | | Thank you all... | Jan 30, 2016 |
For your valuable input As I said, I found the answer for my Windows 7 version. Tina, I don't upgrade whenever I just have a small problem. I've never seen the interest in purchasing new versions when they arrive on the market, especially when an older version works just fine Especially when you look at the price of the Office version... No, I agree that you wouldn't upgrade just to solve one small problem but there may be a lot of other things the newer version can do, or can do better, that you are not even aware of. | | | To report site rules violations or get help, contact a site moderator: You can also contact site staff by submitting a support request » How to hide visible tabs in Word CafeTran Espresso | You've never met a CAT tool this clever!
