I recognise Albanian as the third entry in the list, seemingly translated by someone with a computer and a keyboard and no other knowledge of how to use regional settings to switch to Albanian characters. Also, "New Year", being a date of celebrations, has historically been written in capital initials in wishing quotes.

I think it's safe to say that Google Translate would have done a better job - for once.

Correction Dec 28, 2012

Hi Romina,

I didn't know mine was going to be the official version - I really meant it for our community here, which is why I gave the translation in brackets, including "to all". For the above list, this last part should be omitted, so just "Gëzuar Vitin e Ri" will do.

As we're on the topic, although it's not my "place", I'm still waiting for a native Italian to come forth with "Buon Capodanno".

Buon Capodanno! Dec 28, 2012

Buon Capodanno is one of the way of wishing Happy New Year in my language, yes. But we use also "Buon Anno" or "Felice Anno Nuovo" ( Happy New Year). Sometimes, in the region of Italy where I live, that is Tuscany, we use also "Buon San Silvestro", referring to Saint Silvestre, the saint of the 31st of December.

So, BUON CAPODANNO A TUTTI!!!!!!!!!!!

12. Z novym hodam - must be Russian as I didn't find anything closer to Russian С Новым Годом

But more correct would be - S novym godom

Happy New Year to all!

Correction Dec 29, 2012

In No. 124 (Slovenian), "Srec - no" is one word. It should be "srečno novo leto" with a Stresica on the "c".
To the best of my knowledge, the pronunciation is /SRETCH-noh NO-voh LEE-toe/

Why is the list updated in such a strange way? Dec 29, 2012

For example, the first version in #107 is obviously wrong, but it’s presented in such a way that looks like both versions are equally valid.

Why not just scrap the wrong versions and keep the corrections? Why are we keeping the wrong versions in the list?
