Sorry if this is a familiar post. Using Internet Explorer, some pages I load with Portuguese text show OK and others (PROZ pages, for example) do not and show symbols such as boxes etc. where characters with diacritics. I presume this is some Option setting but cannot find it. Much appreciate any help - I could read the questions posted then! David Hardisty DavidHardy

In IE, go to the View > Encoding menu.
Theoretically, if 'automatic' is checked there, everything should be OK. But in most cases it does not work properly. Click on 'More' and choose the encoding you wish. At ProZ.com pages Windows encodings are used, so you should choose 'Western Europe (Windows)'
