Hi
I'm running Office 2003 on Win XP. The "Table" menu on my MS-Word would open but it doesn't operate and none of the sub menus open. It only works after I open and close MS-Word for a couple of times. Any ideas? what is wrong?
Thanks. Rahi

1. Is there a table in the document and is your cursor inside the table?
2. Are you sure it's a table, not e.g. a text box?

None. As mentioned, the "Table" menu options do not work. Imagine opening the Table menu in Word and clicking on it's options (like Draw Table, Insert, Delete, etc) but they would not work.

Maybe your Normal.dot is corrupted

I would at least try to rename the actual Normal.dot by xNormal.dot (do not delete it, rename is enough) and restart Word. This template gets corrupted sometimes.

Your top Word menu bar has an "insert table" icon (looks like a little box with a grey grid and a blue bar on top). After you click on it you get a little matrix to drag the mouse for as many columns and rows as you need. Try drawing a table this way and then see if the Table menu works. Maybe you can kick-start it to life...
