Hy, I don`t understand what you wrote but I can assure you that Grainne is a real person I have been working with this company for some time and also with her...Word Perfect is a company which has also an office in Ireland, where Grainne also works. They make prompt payments, and I for one am very satisfied of the cooperation with them. So don`t worry, it`s not a fraud, it`s a real person

they are also on blue bord as Word Perfect Translations Ltd.

Are we sure this office in Kazakhstan exists? May 12, 2011

I am familiar with the firm of Word Perfect Translations, Ltd., although I have not worked for them.

Before posting my message, I looked at the Word Perfect web site. I saw no evidence of an office in Kazakhstan. The email address of this person in the message is a free account from Google, not the sort of thing an international translation firm ordinarily uses in my experience. There have recently been instances of fraudsters misappropriating the identity of reputable firms to scam translators. In short, I'm not convinced yet.

I sent an inquiry at the same time to Word Perfect. When I hear back from them, I will post the response here.

If you look on their blue board, they seem to have an office in Kazakhstan. This is the email address she uses in her emails with me: [email protected]. I have heard of different scams, but I guess it`s a really big coincidence for them to have the same name, but who knows..
All the best,
Mihaela

I would let it go... May 14, 2011

Charles, I agree with you that there's something off-putting in the request. It's very difficult to put a finger on what exactly, but one thing I look for is not just the name of the PM but an official logo, address, phone number, website link and so on to the agency in question.

As well, I look for very straightforward information:

1. Source/target
2. Subject
3. Word count
4. Deadline
5. CATs.

All of that is missing so I would let
