Dear colleagues,
I am experiencing a problem with SDL Trados Studio 2011. I have purchased the Starters version of Studio 2011, in the past I have worked with Studio 2009 and other CAT tools. Dear colleagues,
I am experiencing a problem with SDL Trados Studio 2011. I have purchased the Starters version of Studio 2011, in the past I have worked with Studio 2009 and other CAT tools. For the starters version, you pay less, but this is also a down-scaled version of the software. For example, when installing, I had to select 5 source languages to translate from: the software limits you to 5 source languages (all regional/country variants are already included). The problem here is, I forgot (I know, not very smart) to select one of the main languages I translate from. So I selected French, Italian, Portuguese and English, and forgot to select Dutch. But most of my translations are Dutch ---> Portuguese (my mother tongue).
The issue here is I still haven't been able to find an option to select dutch as a source language too, or to go back to configuration.
I hope someone will be able to help! Thank you all for reading! ▲ Collapse

Uninstall and reinstall

This is what I would do, uninstalling the software and then reinstalling it.
Not sure whether this works with a starter version, though, but it works with a full one.
Hope it helps!
Cristina.

I have the starter version too, and after entering the only two languages I use (Portuguese and English) and starting the program, I realised that I needed German and I think French in order to use the SDL level 1 certificate study materials. So after much searching in the manuals, I decided that I had to reinstall. Luckily this is easy! Good luck!!!
