Hello Everyone,
I am not sure whether I post my question under the right topic, sorry if this is the wrong place. I am starting as a freelance translator and thinking about obtaining Trados and would like to receive a piece of advice from professional experienced translators:

Hello Everyone,

Thank you in advance

Activation code Jul 30, 2008

Hello Ana,

When you buy Trados you get an activation code that is available to you when you log in using your username and password. You will be asked to enter this code at the end of the installation process.

For me, it was not difficult to get a basic knowledge of Trados, you can probably do it in a couple of hours. However, I learn new things everyday, as I use the program.

Regards,

Cristina.

Agree with Cristina regarding Trados. Basic knowledge can you obtain within one hour, but practices with the software just makes you more and more better each day.

I entirely agree: you can be up and running really quickly, but learning all the possibilities takes time. We have been using Trados for 8-9 years now and still have a lot to learn, despite several courses about the tool at Trados' distributors'.
