Lucky you! Our workload - which until May was quite regular and almost always more than we could handle, suffered a sudden decrease in June and became very irregular since. Thanksfully, we're still being paid for jobs done until then, and for some odd jobs done during the summer, but when we collect all that, I don't know what will happen. All the agencies we used to work with constantly have stopped sending e-mails. I am very worried.

... just before the financial crisis started. So I really have no clue, as I reduced my workload and it is still enough.
Good luck for all that are worried, I am sure that it will get better soon.

A lot of work from new customers and less from the old
Sep 20, 2009
My customers have changed. Before I worked a lot for Italy and less for others. Now I have a lot of new Customers from all over the wourld but Italy. I translated manuals for about 15 years, now I am working in other sectors. I just changed since 2008 and for me work increased. Maybe the situation in Italy is similar to Spain?

slight decrease
Sep 21, 2009
the month of september has been VERY slow, even after people came back from vacation. There was a period of almost NO work, but I have made some new connections. However, i have seen some signs of recovery. It wasn't a drastic decrease overall though.
