Less than 10,000 USD / 9,150 EUR -> 9 150 (or 9.150) EUR

Question 14. If you provide translation services, please indicate your average/general rates for translation (per word):
Rates for direct clients and for agencies are different, calculating the average between the two is not that reliable IMO.
Rates for other services like editing, proofreading etc. are missing.

For example, a translator in country X paying 20% tax will keep twice as much as a translator doing the exact same work in country Y taxed at 60%.
For that reason, it might be easier and better to survey rates rather than income.
Another reason is that, for many of us, our income is dictated less by demand than by inclination.

Thank you to those who provided feedback on the survey, either here in the thread or writing in to me directly! I will make some adjustments and open it up for responses.
