¿ Es correcto este uso del verbo derivar en esta frase :
Cuando los agentes de atención al cliente tienen preguntas o
necesitan derivar un problema a instancias superiores, lo hacen en el canal regional.
El término inglés es escalate ( remitir a una instancia superior )

A mí me parece correcto. En inglés, se diría, “refer”.

Dicho uso de "escalate" en inglés me parece un disparate, una horterada típico de la jerga vacía de los ejecutivos o "business speak". Existen varias opciones mejores (refer/transfer/pass on".... etc.

"Solicitud de servicio" o "orden de trabajo". No me gusta "ticket de problema", o algo que incluye "problema". Es cierto que "trouble" significa "problema", pero su función es pedir servicio.

I agree, "escalate" is common parlance in IT scenarios. However, when people start using it in other situations, it just becomes another useless piece of jargon IMHO.
