IVA 303 Deducting computer worth more than €600 (Spanish IVA)

Hi There,

I bought a computer in December worth more than €600. Now I want to know if I can deduct the entire amount of IVA in one go?

Yes, but you should have done it already Jan 21, 2011

You should have deducted this IVA in the statement for the fourth trimester of 2010 (due yesterday). If you haven't, I doubt you can claim it later if the invoice is dated back in December...

Or I am in trouble...!

As for the IVA, yes, you can claim it back in one go. The part you cannot calculate as an expense in one go is the price of the computer, which will have to be written off in several years (4 I think).

Thought the 30th was the deadline for the annual summary... Jan 21, 2011

but it may also be for the fourth trimester. Anyway, I always submit it by the 20th so I don't get confused!

So you are giving Hacienda your money 10 days too early every January? Outrageous! I always put that money in small coins on my dinner table and count it, count it, count it...
