In order to install a CAT tool (Word Fast) I need to enable macros but can\'t figure out how this is done.

I have had luck either in trying to install manually.

Op Sys is Windows XP 2000.

Any leads?

It doesn\'t matter which OS you are using, but there is no such thing as Windows XP 2000. It is either Windows XP or Windows 2000.

When I was using WordFast, the version of Word did matter. Be sure that your licence is for the correct version of Word. This may not apply anymore though.

There is one more thing to be done to enable macros.

when you come to the Security dialog box by this route --Tools>Macros>Security, you will see two folders named Security Level and Trusted Sources.

In the folder named Security Level do as Karin has mentioned, that is set the security level to low.

In the other folder, that is the Trusted Sources Folder, check both the following boxes:
- Trust all installed addedins and templates
- Trust access
